I am also certified by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling as a Supervising Counselor to provide supervision for those seeking full licensure. I am a wife to my wonderful husband, Don. I have two children - a very loyal son and a daughter who now lives in Heaven - and three gorgeous granddaughters. I am a Christian and am active in my local church. I enjoy writing, cooking, reading, sewing, quilting, & playing with my grandchildren.
I have over 25 years experience in the Mental Health field, having worked in a variety of settings including private practice, intensive out-patient treatment for those with severe mental illness and chemical dependency, wilderness program for troubled teens, and outpatient services for children/adolescent/families issues. I have certification in Trauma Counseling. I work with all ages, regardless of sex, race, or economic status. I have provided in-home therapy for at-risk families, and have had extensive training in working with children/adolescents in multiple situations. Areas of specialty include: pre-marital/marital issues, chronic pain/illness, chemical dependency, family dysfunction, educational/ vocational attainment, dealing with trauma/abuse from the past, and grief & loss.
My goals in counseling are:
(1) to walk along the journey with someone to assist them in knowing who they are, and learning to like and accept who they are;
(2) to assist people in forming meaningful relationships, devoid of abuse or manipulation;
(3) to help people form short-term and long-term goals and to ascertain the steps needed to obtain those goals;
(4) to provide services in an atmosphere that fosters compassion and empathy in order to help the client feel safe and comfortable at all times.
I would count it a privilege to assist you in accomplishing your goals.

Judith is an understanding and insightful counselor who offers practical advice for difficult situations. She reminds me when I am overthinking things and helps to simplify difficult issues into tangible steps. Really appreciate having such a wonderful counselor.
It has worked out very nicely with my schedule. Feeling so much better as compared to two months ago. Her advice was excellent and filled the bill for my situation and circumstances.
She is a great counselor
Just getting started but so far ... no complaints! Judith has been very good to work with!

Judith is fantastic and very attentive!
She is great so far!
Judith is EXACTLY what I was searching for in a therapist!! Judith has been so wonderful and supportive! I have had counseling before, but I never felt I had the “right fit” with previous therapists. Judith is a Christian. Which is very important to me in that my Faith is a huge part of my life! I highly recommend Judith and I’m so grateful I found her through Better Help!
Judith is a wonderful therapist. She is very patient and understanding of my issues and I always feel a little better after speaking with her.
Great listener and seems to really care!
