Julia Johnston, LPCC
About me
Hi, my name is Julia. I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in Ohio with over 5 years of experience working in addiction and mental health. Prior to working as a counselor, I did research on trauma's impact on learning and memory and presented at Neuroscience conferences across the United States. I have taken that knowledge and I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, physical trauma, emotional abuse, and addiction.
My therapy style is person-centered meaning I try to understand things from your point of view while being genuine and empathic. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you to achieve your goals.
