About me

I am an individual and group therapist with 30 years of experience working with diverse clients over a wide socioeconomic spectrum. The range of client concerns addressed have included: self-esteem and competence challenges, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress sequelae, emotional flooding and interpersonal effectiveness problems, relationship problems, including job-related communications problems, lack of meaning, living with chronic pain and physical illness, challenges in mid-life and aging, and co-occurring disorders such as depression/anxiety/substance abuse.

My basic philosophy is that we all have a deep well of wisdom within us to help us move through life’s problems and reach a place of competence and meaning. But often, a combination of skills deficits, negative patterns of thinking, inability to self-soothe and feelings of helplessness, along with lack of access to information or resources, blocks our ability to drink from the well. My job as a counselor or therapist is to invite my client into a working partnership in which my client feels safe in self-disclosure as we discern the issues my client wants to address and search for solutions and healing. This partnership is a sacred trust. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Amazing therapist and great listener. Couldn’t have asked for better care.

Over the course of this past year Lynn has helped me to understand the root causes of my anxiety, the way I react to that anxiety and how to properly handle my reaction to situations that previously cause me a lot of stress and fear. I am a better man and a better father because of the help she has given me and continues to provide. Lynn is one of the most influential people in my life today.

Lynn is an amazing therapist who truly listens and asks thought provoking questions. She offers her sage wisdom and prompted me to consider other perspectives on some of my life’s biggest challenges. She was a calm in the storm when I had multiple tumultuous events in a very short period of time. She helped me process and move forward after being paralyzed with the grieving process of the untimely passing of my Dad. She remembered with detail all of the intricacies of my life’s complicated relationships. I always felt heard and understood. She offered tools and word tracks to retrain my inner dialogue. She helped me tap into my own inner wisdom and encouraged me to actually trust my intuition. I am so fortunate that I was able to meet and have guidance from Lynn. ❤️
