Julie Roffina, LPC
About me
I have been working as a counselor for 15 years, with parents and children in schools, and as a college career counselor. I have also been in private practice for 11 years where I work primarily with populations of people who have anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
Anxiety and depression affect so many of us every day! Spiraling thoughts, racing heartbeat, inability to sleep--these are just a few examples of how our anxiety gets in the way of our enjoyment! Both increase our stress level & prevent us from having healthy relationships with others. Think of it: if our mind has us focused on the past or the future, how can we enjoy the present? We will work to identify your source of stress, and utilizing a solution-focused approach, we will devise goals and plan personal, achievable ways that you can get control over your thoughts, instead of your thoughts controlling you!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

Julie helps me tackle difficult situations by asking insightful questions, challenging my thinking and helping me see all sides of a situation, and by giving me unbiased and constant support. I have made enormous progress since I began working with her, and I look forward to continuing to live a happier, healthier life.
