About me
Hello, I'm a licensed counselor in Kentucky with nine years of counseling experience. I completed my undergraduate degree with the University of the Cumberlands in 2017, having majored in psychology with a clinical concentration. I obtained my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of the Cumberlands in 2020.
I generally work from a person-centered approach, incorporating both cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Since working with clients during the COVID pandemic, I have been able to adapt my counseling approach to telehealth services, as well.
Nearly all of my counseling career, eight years, has been spent with adults coping with trauma related issues, specifically domestic violence, sexual abuse and assault, human trafficking, and stalking. as well as substance use. However, I have found that trauma and substance use are something that anyone can experience, thus I have worked with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar disorder, anger, obsessive compulsive disorder, and more.
