Julie Smith, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 16 years of experience providing mental health services in a variety of settings, including inpatient hospitalization and outpatient community agencies. I am also the owner and operator of a private practice with a focus on client-centered, compassionate care.
I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I am trained in trauma-based therapies including CPT and TF-CBT and have advanced training in mindfulness, acceptance-based, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and interactive. I believe in treating every person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard without judgment or stigma. My approach is eclectic and draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, humanistic approaches, and other evidence-based practices. I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals, focusing on building practical skills that support healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
