About Me

Thank you for reviewing my information. I have tried to be quite detailed here, so please read to the end before selecting me as your counselor. After working a while in this online medium, I have found it quite important that you (the client), have a very good idea with whom you will be working.

My name is Justine Moore. I have many years of experience providing therapy to clients in both the hospital and the outpatient setting. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and licensed in the state of Texas. I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology earned through the University of Houston and a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston – Graduate College of Social Work.

I work with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, career concerns, LGBTQIA+ issues, and family and relationship issues. My therapeutic style works on the belief that we all have a right to self-determination. In my work with clients, I come from a position of unconditional, positive regard with a varied approach working with clients from a humanistic and strengths-based approach with a solution-focused perspective. My goal is to provide you the support you need to navigate through your specific journey. Together, we can work to find solutions to those stressors you face individually through support, reframing, and mindfulness. My goal is to provide you a space that makes you feel supported and safe in exploring those aspects of your life that affect your success and enrichment.

Because I have an established practice and hospital work, I am limited in the days and times I can offer. I currently only have available sessions at 6 pm CDT on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or 2pm CDT on Saturdays and 1pm CDT on Sundays (which is subject to change) for video, phone, or live chat sessions. Should you have any questions about potential availability, please let me know. If there are any changes to my schedule, I am always happy to be flexible.

I welcome feedback throughout the therapeutic relationship. If at any time I am not meeting your needs, please let me know, and we will work together to resolve the challenges. I respond to messages every day, though, times may vary given my hospital and practice work demands. If you are ever in a crisis or an emergency, this is not something that should be messaged to me but rather that you seek emergent help immediately. I am not always able to check my messages or respond right away. Emergent health crises are best handled in person through your support system (family and friends), call 911 or local emergency services, visit the nearest emergency room, or call your local suicide hotline as you will have immediate attention.

I look forward to our work together!

Justine is a great counsellor. She always listens to me and address all my concerns. She also supported me in one of the most difficult time in my life.
Thank you Justine.

Unfortunately, I had my last session with Justine yesterday (through no fault of hers). I had sessions with her for about 5 months and I am so glad that 5 months ago we were matched together. Every session I felt heard, seen, valued, and validated. Justine's experience and point of view was invaluable to me as we spoke each week. She helped me through so much change and uncertainty I was facing during that time, and I aways looked forward to our session every week. Justine helped me define what I want and don't want more clearly, and helped strengthen my confidence in my voice. As cheesy as this sounds, I will always treasure our short time together. If you just got matched with Justine and you are reading this...you are one lucky duck!

Justine is just a wonderful counsellor! I value my time with Justine like nothing else. We have been talking for about 4 months and it's been essential to my primary survival this summer and continues to deepen into other issues into the winter. I feel safe knowing that Justine will listen without judgement and with care and support for anything I come with. I feel that we've built a mutual respect and since this is my first time in any kind of therapy or councelling it's been nothing but a positive experience.

Justine is compassionate, intelligent, and will listen to what you have to say. Even if it's just talking about movies, her ability to connect and understand it wonderful!

Justine is an excellent listener and offers great advice. I felt very comfortable talking with her and just felt that I could open up a lot about myself in a safe space during a session. 10/10 would recommend.
