About me

Hello, my name is Kai aka The Viking Therapist.

I'm an experienced, registered Integrative Counsellor, Equine Therapist & Supervisor. This means I adapt therapy to suit your individual needs. I provide a tailored, down to earth approach to therapy.

The benefit of therapy is in discovering the reasons 'why' behind your mental health struggles, the reasons why we might have anxiety for example, healing your mental health and managing it going forward.

It can be a particularly difficult and overwhelming choice to start therapy as such I invite you to ask any questions you like to make sure the decision to work together is right for you.

I work with a variety of client concerns and specialise in anxiety disorders.

I offer individual counselling, couples therapy, student counselling.

Reach out to discuss your needs.

I look forward to meeting you.

My background.......is in law enforcement and first responder for the casino industry in the USA for over a decade, this is what led me to wanting to retrain as a therapist back in the UK, to help and support clients with anxiety disorders, trauma and ptsd. Along the way I also found the benefits of equine therapy and added that training to my professional skils along side my bachelors degree in integrative counselling. Due to my background my chosen specialism is in anxiety and anxiety disorders but that doesn't mean I can't work with other concerns to, feel free to reach out and send me a message to explore what you would like to work on, I look forward to meeting you.

Kai has helped me unravel a lot of the issues I have struggled with for the past quarter. Honestly, I feel like I won't be in this level of mind space without him. Highly recommend him if you are looking to fixing and taking a foot forward in fixing your own little head ecosystem.

I can't say enough good things about Kai Manchester. I look forward to our sessions each week and feel supported, respected and genuinely heard. He is compassionate and sensitive without ever coming across as patronizing. He is a good observer, and has a calm and yet engaging manner. His suggestions are on point and I have made real progress through our sessions. He has a direct , but gentle way of drawing me out and helping me explore how I truly feel , and what I really think about the issues I discuss with him.
Thank you, Kai, for all of our work!

Helped as much as they could. Was nice to be able to connect and talk to while I was able.
Sadly due to issues of what I need to talk about is out of their scope I need to move on to find someone who works in there area.
