About Me

You know that person you always see nuzzled up with their favorite book in the corner of the local coffee shop sipping on a latte? That’s me. I’m the type of person who loves simplicity. I thrive off spending time with my husband, having game nights with friends, working out until my body feels like mush, and taking road trips to new places.

Let’s be real though, life doesn’t always look like butterflies and rainbows. In fact, life can feel like an absolute beating sometimes. If you’re reading this, I’m guessing this is one of your “sometimes.” I get it. Stress, depression, emptiness, anxiety, and self-judgment are constantly knocking at our door. It’s the worst, but the good news is it doesn’t have to stay that way.

For as long as I can remember, my greatest passion in life has been to help people overcome the battles life presents them with. When I'm talking with someone, it’s my goal to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which they can be supported in their efforts to change and grow. I have experience working with adults of all ages but have specialized in working with adolescents and young adults for over 3 years. Some clinical issues I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety, and stress management.

I'm here to help and look forward to hearing from you!

Kaitlen and I have been matched PERFECTLY! She really understands me and we get along great. Kaitlen is a great listener and really helps me with the issues I feel are important and key to me.

Kaitlen is such an awesome counselor because I truly believe that she cares about who she is helping. It’s not simply her trying to solve someone’s problem and be done for the day, she communicates a genuine sense of caring and kindness that is really nice to have in a counselor. Her advice is always helpful and very applicable, and she really does try to understand what you are dealing with so she can give the most sound advice. I also admire her never neglecting the Christian side of mental health healing, which honestly helped me strengthen my faith while I was struggling as well.

So far she's really open and I think we were perfectly matched. It's still early on, but I really look forward to working with her.
