About Me
I have a wealth of experience in what life has taught me through times of sorrow, pain, grief and other times so much joy. We all have different seasons in our life. Throughout life we will need different pieces to create our puzzle. My knowledge also comes from higher education and practice of that knowledge throughout my career. I am well rounded with experience from young to older clients. Serving 10 years in the military taught me how to and the importance of working with an array of different people from various backgrounds, ethnicities, ages, religions, sexualities, and overall different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. My passion is in supporting others through various parts of their journeys utilizing practical approaches that are evidence based. Some therapy strategies may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Techniques, Supportive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Whole Health, and a variety of other strategies or a mixture thereof. I am looking forward to supporting you by first listening, clarifying what is heard, and overall supporting your individuality. Therapy strategies are not a one size fits all. If you do not wish to have someone who is highly motivated, thinks positively and continually supports using your strengths, believes that YOU CAN each and every time, then I am not the one for you. There are many coaching and motivational principles that I incorporate as it is truly my personality. Remember, you are unique and in order for me to adjust what is needed, I will need your feedback and honesty of what is working or what you may need more of. I look forward to supporting you during this part of your journey.

Kalene is incredible! She is so helpful, patient and engaging. My counseling has been a strong self improvement and self discovery journey for me and I don’t believe I would have made the progress that I did without Kalene being so supportive and understanding. She’s treated me with so much patience and kindness, as well as she also reminds me to treat myself with that patience and kindness as I maneuver my own healing process.
Kalene is a GREAT listener and highlights the positives whenever you're explaining why you feel bad about whatever is going on in your life. She is very insightful and easy to talk to -- it is so wonderful to have an outside perspective from someone who help you reason through how you've been feeling and what you can do going forward. Kalene will offer advice and solutions that work best for YOU if you give her enough to work with. I've only been in counseling for maybe 2 weeks for Kalene but she has empowered me to make small but impactful changes for the better and I don't know what I would do without her.
From my time with Kalene she has shown me compassion. She has offered me different ways to get me motivated when I make goals for myself. Kalene has offered me what I felt like I didn't have with my family and friends and that is to just listen without passing judgement. I appreciate her input and advice.

Kalene is attentive, insightful, patient, and helpful. She has been consistent in speaking with me every week, even if I haven't responded to her. This makes me feel seen. Kalene has a calming demeanor to her that creates a safe space for me to discuss the things I'm feeling as well and to be honest about what I need to improve and work on to be healthier.

She’s great and understanding she helped me make better decisions since it’s really hard for me.
Kalene is calming but direct when she needs to be. She encourages me to open up and think about things that I might not be noticing. I am going through a very difficult time in my life and she brought in some perspective so I can look at things rationally while understanding the emotions I am going through.

She's provided me with excellent support (even checked on me when I went unresponsive for a bit) given me plenty of time and space to vent , it's been less than a month though.

Kalene is a great counselor! She gives me opportunities to see where I can grow and do things differently! She is very involved in my confidence building and always replies in a timely manner. She gives me worksheets to do that help me have a unique perspective on my own problems. I enjoy having her helping me become a better person!
