About me

It takes courage to admit that you need help with a personal problem. You may be consumed with thoughts that paralyse your ability to engage in everyday life. You may awake every morning with feelings of anxiety, fear, shame, or guilt, or even frustration with being unable to change the cycle of overthinking. Perhaps you have retreated, feel isolated or stuck because you are unable to share your problems with others, nor the energy to prioritise quiet time for self-reflection. Whatever your story, thoughts or feelings, all that matters is that you are here, seeking a safe person to share your problem with, and with whom you can explore your possibilities to evolve from this chapter of your life. Your courage and strength have brought you here today, and together we can help you SEE the transformation you need.

My name is Kam, and I am a qualified integrative and relational counsellor. I know first-hand the benefits of talking therapy in healing a traumatic past, understanding your true essence, and overcoming relational challenges. Seeking therapy is the first step to reaching acceptance with situations beyond your control, helping you reclaim your inner strength to find a resolution. We live in a fast-paced world that can negatively impact our relationships, health, and self-worth. Our inner sanctuary is ransacked with the demands of others and societal expectations, and we have less and less time to focus on our own needs. I am here to offer you a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to finally be able to SEE and tend to your needs.

I have fourteen years’ experience working with clients presenting with low moods, depression, and anxiety. I have confidently worked with adults, adolescents, and the elderly from diverse backgrounds. I have supported those in the criminal justice system, and individuals facing crises like homelessness and domestic violence. In addition to English, I have successfully delivered therapy in Punjabi, and worked with various South Asian clients who have required increased sensitivity and an understanding of cultural expectations.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and have successfully met their competency and ethical standards. I continue to grow in understanding client needs through ongoing professional development courses. I also bring my knowledge of life coaching, neuro-linguistic programming, Emotional Focus Tapping, mindfulness, and energy work to develop your sense of self-worth and confidence.

Kam's been wonderful! I'm relatively new and still in the returning stages of therapy and self-help; she's been very considerate regarding my past, and I do appreciate the gentle understanding toward the pain I've gone through. I feel validated, and I'm all the more hopeful for future sessions with Kam!

I was lucky enough to be assigned Kam as my therapist when I reached out for help on BetterHelp. After my first session, I already felt lighter, felt heard and importantly felt comfortable enough with Kam to continue.
My concerns were always heard and given the time with no rush towards any resolution or end if the time was not right. I was able to verbalise my anxieties and be reassured that they would be listened to and addressed in a way that best suited my situation.
I never felt judged and always felt like I was able to bring recent troubles I was having to Kam rather than just focus on the initial problems that connected me to her. This really helped when it came to Kam advising me on the best ways to handle my stress and anxiety because the tools I was given always felt appropriate to what the situation was and having said that I am still using them today.
Kam is a wonderful and considerate person who takes her role very seriously, giving the utmost care to her patients, never rushing and guiding the direction of the session in a natural and comfortable way, easing you into therapy.
Thank you Kam for all your advice and time.
