About Me

I am a family and marriage therapist licensed in Indiana with over 10 years of experience working as an Associate and Therapist. Using a trauma-informed approach, I have worked with clients with various concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting and family problems, and self-esteem. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I like to call myself the integrationist, meaning my approach combines cognitive-behavioral(CBT) Delictial Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Multisystemic Therapy, humanistic, and Family Therapy (Bowen and Structural). I will tailor my approach to meet your unique and specific needs. My goal is to integrate the whole safe in the healing process so that you can awaken to "YOU."

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

I was really surprised with how well Betterhelp matched me up with the perfect therapist. Kanika is incredibly warm, understanding, a great listener, and is incredibly skilled at noticing details about what/how I say things that helped me understand myself and the way I think.
