About me

Registered MBACP Therapeutic Counsellor | CBT Specialist | Integrative Approach

Welcome, my name is Karen - I am so glad you are here. I believe that everyone should have a personal and safe space to explore, heal, and grow.

Life can be overwhelming at times and you may have a specific issue that you would like to make sense of to overcome. You could be facing anxiety, low mood, relationship struggles, overthinking, or simply feeling stuck. Whatever you need, I offer a calm, supportive environment where teens and adults alike can talk openly and begin to make sense of what’s going on.

As an experienced, credentialed counsellor, I am here to support you in exploring your issues, helping you to understand perhaps why you think, feel and behave the way that you do. I can provide you with tools and coping strategies, tailored to your unique needs, for you to be able to have a better experience of life. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep belief in your ability to grow and heal. Together, we’ll explore your story and uncover the strengths and insights that already live within you.

I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but I work primarily as an integrative counsellor - blending techniques from various therapeutic approaches to create a personalised plan that meets your counselling goals. No two people are the same, and your sessions will reflect that.

Whether you're seeking support for a specific issue or simply need someone to talk to, you're welcome here. Let’s take the next step together.

CBT with Karen has been life changing. She is gentle yet precise, nurturing yet empowering. Our sessions have allowed me to experience so much relief, understanding and healing around trauma. Every session feels so personalised, allowing me to express where I am in the moment. The resources and worksheets are great, so well timed and useful. I look forward to continued support from therapy with Karen, and highly recommend her. I am not 'fixed', I am supported, healing and reframing how I speak to myself, how I protect myself and how I can be myself and enjoy it.

I've never thought of a systematic approach to conquering my anxiety issues. Karen have slowly help me integrate a plan that can slowly through practices allow me to keep my anxiety in check.
Great listener, caring and never judgemental, it allows me to open up and talk about very personal issues I normally don't feel comfortable.
