About Me

Welcome!

I am an individual, family and relationship therapist licensed in Texas with over 7 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges and life changes. My specialty is focused on severe trauma, whether it be from childhood, adolescence, or adulthood. I also help many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My therapy style is supportive and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive behavior therapy. I will help adapt and mold our work and therapy goals to meet your unique and specific needs. I find that clients typically benefit the most from the messaging and live chat, also phone or video as needed. I am online frequently and look forward to accommodating your schedule as you see fit.

Seeking support out is already a change, right? So let's keep the ball rolling... I like to encourage you to work at this and will be with you every step. Change comes from working it, movement and trying new approaches!

I look forward to working with you!

She’s done so much to help my perspective. Just went a few months without her and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of it.

I love Kay. I feel like I’m talking to someone who completely understands my situations and won’t bullshit when I need a straight answer.

Kay is so great! She really takes the time to understand! She offers really good advice and gives homework...which is awesome! She answers all private messages as if it’s a separate session. I would highly recommend her!

Kay helped me through a difficult time in my professional life, but after I dealt with that area of my life, she was there for me in so many other ways. She makes me feel supported and always helps me gain perspective on life events and emotions.

I experienced quite a bit of childhood trauma growing up. In the past, I’ve done a lot of work to understand how that trauma influences my life. I typically try to use my experiences in the most positive way possible. I started working with Kay because I’ve recently had a lot of very big life changes, some were really amazing and some were very hard for me. For the first time in my life; I felt that I didn’t have the energy to work through my difficulties and find a positive solution to my problems. I felt hopeless, overwhelmed and beyond help. I felt like my problems were so big I didn’t know where to start or how to approach them. I’ve only had one session with Kay, but after my session that feeling of hopelessness went away. Kay didn’t try to fix my problems and all of my issues are still there, but she did ask questions that helped me change my perspective on several things and that made a very big difference for me right away. Kay’s session made me feel validated and more positive about my ability to handle my challenges. Kay listened with compassion and without judgement. Kay is very good at her job and I highly recommend her!

Kay is the best therapist I’ve ever had. Before Kay treated me, I had gone through a lot of counseling sessions with other therapists in the city and nothing’s changed nor improved in my life. Kay has an amazing approach and is very caring. Not only is she a good listener and a real professional but she goes beyond her role and schedule to help me understand the root of my problems so that I don’t leave any session feeling I’ve wasted my time. She asks very good questions that make me ponder about my current status and whether I’m making a good decision or not. She has a special way of lifting up my spirit when I hit rock bottom , and she never rushes my healing or recovery. For that I am forever grateful to have her as my therapist.

Kay is a fantastic person. She helps lift you when you are at your lowest, your own personal uplifter in your corner. No matter what is going on, she doesn't judge you, and always points out the positive moves you make.
