About me

Hi, My name is Katelyn Coney, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Arkansas. I earned a Masters in Science in Counseling Psychology from University of Central Arkansas. I have served in multiple areas of work including serious mental illness, private practice, clinical start up, consultation, clinical supervision, substance abuse, education, and leadership. Some of my other experience includes working with children to the geriatric population looking at depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, and relationships. My major focus is working with those in “transitions” be it career, family, relationships, or substance abuse. I practice Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive therapies with the individuals, groups, or families I work with tailoring treatment to individual needs of my clients.
