About me

My name is Kathy. I have a Masters degree in Psychology and am licensed in Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been in private practice for the past twenty plus years. Prior to private practice I spent several years working with children in the school setting and in Social Services with adolescents and their families.

I believe that each one of us bring to our current lives a multitude of past experiences, personality, genetics as well as those issues that we are currently facing. I believe it takes courage to face our issues. and I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is vital to building the trust necessary to peel away the layers of the issues we are confronting. My style is warm and interactive. I am respectful and compassionate and allow my clients to lead the way at their own pace.

I have worked with clients to overcome issues ranging from anxiety, depression. trauma and abuse to severe mental illness including Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder.
I use theory and technique from a variety of models such as narrative therapy, crisis intervention, attachment theory, pychoeducation, and so forth depending on what is most useful and appropriate to the individual.

I'm ready for us to meet and to work together.
