About Me

I have an undergraduate degree in political science with a focus on human rights from Simon's Rock College of Bard. I earned a masters in counseling with a focus on trauma studies and marginalized communities from Lesley University. I am currently licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a LMHC. I began my career in human services as a teenager and have worked as a tutor, coach, big sister, caseworker, clinician and program coordinator in various agencies. I have experience in both urban and rural communities. In the past decade, I have worked in schools, residential programs, detention facilities, outpatient clinics, urgent care/crisis centers, emergency rooms and veterans programs. I approach my work with the belief that life is often difficult and overwhelming, but we all have the ability to heal and recover with the right support, guidance and resources. I use a range of therapies including DBT, CBT, trauma counseling, grief counseling, mindfulness and client centered therapy, as well as connecting clients to appropriate resources in their community.

Kate is fantastic. Our conversations feel productive and real. She asks great questions that help me understand my own thinking and motivations. Working with her for the last month has clearly improved my ability to deal with my feelings at home and work. It's making a difference!
