Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! I am Kathleen Bazile and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), I believe that total health comes from healing the mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to not only help my clients understand and become educated about mental health issues but also find valuable coping skills that are unique to them, so they can get one step closer to living a more authentic, healthy, and fulfilling life. I especially enjoy helping young women, who are going through psychological distress. My mission is to help women discover their authentic and empowered selves and create a life that allows them to thrive instead of just surviving. I practice integrative and evidence-based methods and have been formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Hypnotherapy.
After ten years, I have provided effective psychotherapy to various clients with a diverse range of mental health severities and difficulties including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, sexual trauma, low self-esteem, grief and loss, major life changes, and other emotional problems. My latest training has been working with veterans and getting a better understanding of the role military culture plays in the mental health of the soldiers and their families. I strive in creating a safe, non-judgmental, trusting environment, and therapeutic relationship so that you are willing to let me walk beside you on your journey and practice the changes we develop together.
As a young girl, who found herself strongly empathizing with those in pain, I knew that I wanted to be in a career where I could help alleviate the suffering of others. But I didn't know what this would look like or if it was something in which I would be good at. I dabbled in various subjects from biology, to creative writing, to web designing. Until one day, I came across my aunt's old psychology book and found myself falling in love with the mysteries and abnormalities of the brain and psyche. From then on, I knew I had found my calling! So I pursued psychology at Florida International University and received my Master’s in Counseling at Rollins College.
When I don't have my therapist hat on, I can be found meditating, searching for reasonably priced (free) yoga classes, walking the Beltline, or enjoying the delicious eateries of Atlanta.
I look forward to walking with you on your journey of growth. Change, whether internal or external, is never easy. But in order to be our best selves it is a necessity. However, find comfort in knowing that you don't have to go about it alone :-)

Kathleen is a fantastic counselor. She is very proactive and encourages me to open up (which I find hard). She is able to get to the root of the issue quickly and recommends small steps to help. I highly recommend her.
Very caring and tentative, the best support I could hope for. I’m really grateful I was matched with Kathleen, she understands and greatly helps me see different point of view
