Kathlena Reed, LMHC
About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master of Arts graduate, and Qualified Supervisor with over six years of experience in the counseling field, including extensive work in addiction and mental health treatment. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges by providing compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care.
My clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused interventions, including training in Prolonged Exposure therapy. I believe in meeting clients where they are, fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and empowering individuals to achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, life transitions, and co-occurring mental health concerns. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged in their journey toward healing and personal growth.
As a Qualified Supervisor, I am also dedicated to mentoring and supporting emerging clinicians while promoting ethical, client-centered, and evidence-based practices within the mental health profession.
