Hello, thanks for reaching out. My name is Kate. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with clients in therapy for 16 years. The clients I have seen have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder. I provide a warm, caring environment where people can look at past hurts/trauma, current life situations and changes/losses, relationship issues, self-esteem issues and their own questioning/wondering about life’s meaning and their own goals. I tend to use a client centered strengths based approach, helping the client obtain the healing in the areas of their life where they feel stuck. During this process, I use grief work, helping clients with coping skills, communication skills, setting needed boundaries, self-esteem work, and lowering stressors. My goal with you is to help you heal and meet your own goals and find your own sense of meaning. I look forward to working with you.

Kathryn came to me as my therapist at a point of time in my life where I wasn’t sure where I was heading. She was great to work with. Unfortunately due to a move on my end I need to change but I am at a place where I feel more confident about going ahead with having the time I had spent with her. She’s amazing and I would recommend her to anyone.

I had considered staring therapy for years, but 2020 and a short-but-unhealthy relationship tipped that quickly into the realm of needing help. Without knowing what to expect, I went into the first meeting rather skeptical that it would be a good use of money. Almost immediately, I could tell that it was worth it. Kathryn was able to listen, understand the core aspects behind what I was saying, and return feedback in an incredibly eye-opening manner. She went beyond just helping in the moment and took it to a much more educational level that could be used for the rest of my life. My last session was today after thirteen weeks and I have a whole new set of tools to help me live with a much, much, much healthier mindset than I had a few months back. Although this is my first experience seeing a therapist, I can say with full confidence that the person who will be filling my spot is lucky to be placed with Kathryn.

I have been in therapy for many years but Kathryn is one of the best therapists I've had. She has a warm and gentle spirit and is very easy to talk to. She provides a good mix of honesty and comfort during difficult times which I have appreciated a lot during the pandemic. Additionally, Kathryn has an innate ability to look at both the big picture of your life and the tiny details -- she will really commit herself to understanding you and your past. I think Kathryn would be a great fit for anyone, but you should definitely consider working with her if you want someone to listen attentively and provide genuine feedback of your thoughts in a supportive manner. Also, she will always ask you what you take away at the end of the meeting which is helpful to solidifying your progress. She is simply the best and I am very thankful for our time working together.

I truly believe that Kathryn is hands-down the best counselor for many different types of people. Not only is she an outstanding giver of advice, but she is most likely the best listener that I have come in contact with. I have never felt as though I have wasted a minute of my time with Kathryn receiving irrelevant information/advice because she is such a good listener that she usually understands your situation after hearing it for the first time. She is very invested in her clients and easily gives 100% into her sessions. Not once has she ever been late to our sessions, but rather 5-10 minutes earlier than our agreed start time. She is very, very responsive if you message her, and understanding if sessions need to be moved. She makes time for her clients and tailors her schedule to their needs. Kathryn is extremely insightful and provides you with advice that is not generic but actually helpful and applicable. She is humorous, friendly, warm, and a very hard worker. I would not hesitate to book sessions with Kathryn if you are looking for someone who is reliable, thoughtful, understanding, flexible, and accommodating, this counselor is just the one for you!

I have had about two months of sessions with Kathryn and we have made great progress together. She is really warm and also honest, which is necessary, even when you don’t want to hear it. I have been in therapy for three years now, but I still learn new things about myself and new techniques to use to cope with my mental illness, as well as navigating relationships with family and friends. She’s been wonderful to work with. She remembers what we talk about week by week and is pretty darn good at listening, as well as effectively communicating what she recognizes in me and the things I bring to her to talk through. She always ends with asking me what’s one thing I’m gonna take away from our session. Thanks Kathryn!
