About Me

I am a Professional Counselor licensed in the state of Pennsylvania with over 16 years of experience working with people of all ages and families. I currently have two private practice offices in two different counties. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including: depression, anxiety, anger management, family/parenting, DMDD , ADHD and Personality Disorders. I have also helped many people who have suffered from traumas related to physical, sexual and emotional abuse as well as PTSD symptoms. I have worked with adoptive families experiencing attachment issues.

My counseling style is very interactive and I believe in helping all people with a respectful, compassionate and nonjudgemental style. My approach is eclectic; as I use pieces of different modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. I will tailor our treatment plan to meet your needs.

She's cool, down to earth, non-judgmental, calm, and respectful of thoughts and concerns. She takes the time to make you feel that your needs are met. I also get the strong feeling that she enjoys what she does, which is important to me.

From the very first few minutes of speaking with Kathy I felt very comfortable. She listens whole heartedly and really tries to help you understand and focus on solutions and reasons behind your issues. We have only had a few sessions so far, but I feel that she truly cares about her clients and wants them to live their best life, mentally, physically and emotionally. I would recommend her to anyone.

Kathy reaches out on the weeks I don't have an appointment-to me, that shows how much she cares. Kathy has given me "tools" to use to help me in every day situations and those have worked for me since day one! I really appreciate her!

Kathy is a great listener, and chimes in at just the right moment with an insight or question to make me rethink or understand some issue I’m working on.
