Katie Hunter, LMHC
About me
Do you struggle with the emotions that come with a diagnosis of a terminal or chronic illness? Do you feel the weight of being a caregiver for a loved one facing illness or alcohol addiction? Are you experiencing anxiety, grief, anger, exhaustion, or a loss of self as you navigate the challenges that come with an illness? Do you feel resentment, guilt, shame, confusion, or the pain of losing the relationship you once had with your spouse because of addiction? Do you question whether things will ever get better or how long you can keep holding onto the “I’ve got to be strong” mentality?
If any of these questions resonate with you, I'm here to help. I have a passion for helping those who are struggling with anxiety, grief/loss, chronic/terminal illness, and their self-concept from life transitions such as job and relationship changes. I also have a passion for helping caregivers of loved ones struggling with chronic/terminal illness and spouses of those struggling with alcohol use.
My guiding belief is that even a broken crayon can still create something beautiful. In other words, no matter what life situations may have left you feeling broken, healing and growth are still possible.

Katie has helped me start to understand some of the things I do unconsciously that no longer serve me. She is an amazing listener. I look forward to her talking with her each week.
