About me

Hello and very nice to e-meet you. My name is Katrina and I'm a therapist, social work professor, and community advocate. Thank you for being here. Clicking through these pages demonstrates that you are practicing great self-care and thinking about how you want to shape your future. Congrats! I look forward to getting to know you better and learn about what brought you here. I have a great deal of flexibility in how we work together-video sessions, phone calls, 'text' support' and I encourage creative expression for those who best express themselves with art, writing, and movement. My approach to working with you is to be future oriented and solution focused; to work in collaboration with you to heal old wounds and create a life that feels genuine and safe. I want you to be happier. I pride myself on being client focused, nonjudgmental, collaborative, and pragmatic. I have extensive experience working with those experiencing life transitions, bereavement, trauma recovery, substance use, divorce, workplace bullying, nontraditional lifestyles, mindfulness, and self-acceptance. Let's get where you are going together.

Extremely helpful, warm, welcoming. I didn't know if this would work even just help a little, and it did way more. A lot of that is because of Katrina. I am forever grateful. I felt very comfortable and very at ease and was able to work through a lot with her. I would absolutely recommend her.

Katrina was able to connect with me right off the bat, and continues to do so during our sessions together. She is understanding toward my open relationship and knowledgeable about the considerations involved in navigating it in a healthy way. Working with someone who is familiar with non-monogamous relationships was a breath of fresh air.
Katrina is positive and encouraging, and helps me notice the changes and progress I'm making, even when I'm not always aware. She works with whatever energy and thoughts I bring to our sessions and helps guide a path toward clarity.

Katrina B is amazing! She focuses on working through your traumas, anxieties, fears, and history to reach the healthy and peaceful mindset that we all try to find. The only way to truly heal is through yourself, and, with her methods, you are given every tool you need to dig yourself out of whatever hole life’s thrown you down into. I am forever grateful for the guidance, friendly ear, patience, and joy that Katrina constantly brings to every session. Thank you, Katrina!!!

Katrina has helped me so much to deal with my trauma and issues around being LGBTQ. She is always calm and helps me find a solution to deal with my problems. She is a very nice person also and very relatable. I would definitely recommend her to people with issues in these areas. I am growing a lot as a result of my therapy with her and my life looks much better now than it did before I started therapy.
