About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Supervisor In Training, in the state of South Carolina and have been practicing in the mental health field for a little over six years. In addition to providing therapy services with BetterHelp, I am the Clinical Director for a local non-profit agency that provides treatment and support to adults with severe mental illness.

My style tends to be solution-focused as I believe in focusing more on the problems you’re experiencing right now and working together to develop effective strategies for improving overall life satisfaction. I often incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at times to help identify problematic thinking and retrain your brain to be more positive! Some other modalities that I believe in are Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I have significant expertise in dealing with adults (18+) who are experiencing the following: various mental illnesses (including but not limited to Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, other Psychotic Disorders, Depression, Anxiety); difficulty adapting to life situations; relationship issues; stress caused by pressure at work or home; grief and loss; self-esteem issues; other difficulties maintaining life balance. I also have experience with addictions issues and am able to help in those areas. I am skilled in aiding others in developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, independent living skills, stress management, personal empowerment and advocacy, healthy leisure habits, and other important life skills.

It is important to understand that therapy is about you and what you need, so the process is really driven by the client!

Kayce is completely wonderful in every way. I worked with another counselor for well over a year, and the first counselor never listened to me or provided help in the way that Kayce does. I'm really thankful for her!

Even when I was quite skeptical about BetterHelp, having worked face-to-face with a counselor in the past, and I felt really down, Kayce said some very simple yet true things, exactly what I needed to hear. Simply how to rethink my life and take steps to get better.

Kate helped me to understand my own dysfunctional communication patterns and how to improve them. She understands and helped me through a tough time understanding how my past history is impacting my present, and how to cope with it. I'm so glad I found BetterHelp, being able to work with my counselor when it was convenient also meant my daily work and home routine wasn't disrupted to sit in an office, it was convenient to be able to work on things from the comfort of home...

Kayce helped me through a really tough time in my life. She reminded me that I can't be guilty about taking time for myself and that it'll make me a better mother and wife if I can do that.

Although I have only had one session with Kayce so far, I believe she can help me. She contacts me throughout the week to check on me and give me things to think about, like a friend would.

Kayce Bragg is a professional with heart. She truly cares, listens, responds quickly to messages, asks meaningful questions and is helpful. I highly recommend Kayce Bragg because she provides a safe place for talking about feelings, past life experiences and daily events. The best part is the peace and relief of letting the feelings out without judgement.

Kayce was very open minded, she let me explain sensitive issues in detail without judging, this made it easier to go deeper and reveal more, which again made me feel I had made some headway . She let me chose the order I was comfortable with in giving information in order to lead up to the main issue. From her actions, I can only conclude she is a caring, good person in which the world needs more of.
