My name is Kayla and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over nine years of experience in the counseling field. I have provided counseling services to individuals and their families in many settings including clinical, residential, in-home, agency, and school based. Additionally, I have experience providing crisis counseling, conducting trauma support groups, working with child welfare services, and doing parenting coaching. Helping people feel supported, increase the love and acceptance they feel for themselves, and improve their life is my passion. Being a motivational speaker and workshop presenter as well, I also enjoy helping people find their own life’s passion.
I take an integrative, client centered approach and meet you right where you’re at. My goal is to provide a warm, safe, and accepting space to for you to feel comfortable expressing your true self and exploring your perceptions. You are the expert in your life and what will be most helpful for you. Therefore, the techniques and approach used will be tailored to fit your goals, values, and learning style. I like to remind people that they are doing the best they can with the tools they have. The good news is that we can always learn more tools, continue our healing, and feel even better.
In my free time I enjoy immersing myself in nature by jogging outside, going to the beach, and playing in my garden. I love practicing yoga, being creative, and playing with my ukulele and singing bowls. If you have any questions for me or would like to see if we would be a good fit, don’t hesitate to reach out. One small click just may start a ripple effect of positive change in your life. You are worth it!
