About Me

I am a clinical mental health counselor working full time here at Betterhelp. I previously worked at a non-for-profit agency that provides services to children and families involved in foster care. I had been with this organization for a little over 2.5 years and am still passionate about that field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns like trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, BPD, bipolar disorder, relationship and attachment issues, parenting struggles, and struggles with motivation.

My counseling style is laid back, interactive, and warm. I want individuals to have a safe space to take off their mask and relax into who they are during our time together. I treat my clients with respect and compassion. I utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques, person-centered, and a psychodynamic approach. Also, since I have worked with individuals who have experienced physical and emotional trauma, I am trained with a trauma-informed approach that I use in many areas of my life. Many of my clients also enjoy doing art therapy with me! I am told I have an approach that is comfortable, unique, and effective. I tailor treatment to YOUR individual needs. We collaborate together and I will help you gain insight and healing during our time together.

Seeking counseling is the first step (and not always an easy one -kudos!) and I am so excited to know you are here to do the work and take steps towards inner personal freedom and a happier, healthier you. If you are ready to take that step, let's walk the path together.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with you!

Keilyn is a very respectful therapist. Keilyn takes time to get to know her client's and what their goals are. She is also encouraging and that makes her easy to talk to. I like the idea of using journal and work sheets as part of therapy. I found that very useful especially when I'm verbally exhausted. I think Keilyn has a very successful road ahead of her. Best regards!

Keilyn has been an amazing counselor. I would absolutely refer her to any person I know seeking counseling. She is knowledgeable and understanding and has helped me through so much.

I didn't know what to expect with online therapy but Keilyn has been great with sharing resources and explaining different concepts. She articulates things very well and has helped me understand and be more kind to myself. Thank you so much Keilyn!

Keilyn Goatly helps me out for multiple struggles (mainly relationship problems, divorced parents situation and handling passed weed psychosis).
I appreciate the way listens to me and makes me think about my wants and needs. Keilyn helps me very well, I didn't expect this level of help on an online platform. She reads and answered my messages on Betterhelp, and during our calls she helps me to find what matters to me the most and also shares concrete advice. Thank you Keilyn!

Keilyn is great. After only 3 sessions she has keenly articulated ways to better myself that I have understood more clearly than ever before.

I believe there are many things that keep people from therapy. Two of them are finding the right therapist, and choosing to be honest with them. Because even if we find the right therapist, we have to choose if we can trust them with our secrets. It’s hard enough for us to be honest and accepting with ourselves, but it’s even harder to be honest with another person that you don’t know. Keilyn makes me feel comfortable. I feel we can talk about anything. It’s not just talking. It’s also being able to send a message (even dumb ones) and say “ is this a normal aka typical feeling or response? “ and getting a response that’s not judged. Just an honest answer. It’s a wonderful feeling to know someone is there for you, and willing to be honest as well as receptive in a non harmful ways.

it is helpful to feel like you have a pen pal for concerns. especially in between live visits perhaps, you can write what is on your mind and see a response, and refer to it. it is a different type of therapy, and really well suited to the introverted or busy

Two video sessions and multiple text messages, great response time and attention to my concerns.
