I am a clinical mental health counselor working full time here at Betterhelp. I previously worked at a non-for-profit agency that provides services to children and families involved in foster care. I had been with this organization for a little over 2.5 years and am still passionate about that field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns like trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, BPD, bipolar disorder, relationship and attachment issues, parenting struggles, and struggles with motivation.
My counseling style is laid back, interactive, and warm. I want individuals to have a safe space to take off their mask and relax into who they are during our time together. I treat my clients with respect and compassion. I utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques, person-centered, and a psychodynamic approach. Also, since I have worked with individuals who have experienced physical and emotional trauma, I am trained with a trauma-informed approach that I use in many areas of my life. Many of my clients also enjoy doing art therapy with me! I am told I have an approach that is comfortable, unique, and effective. I tailor treatment to YOUR individual needs. We collaborate together and I will help you gain insight and healing during our time together.
Seeking counseling is the first step (and not always an easy one -kudos!) and I am so excited to know you are here to do the work and take steps towards inner personal freedom and a happier, healthier you. If you are ready to take that step, let's walk the path together.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with you!

I didn’t work with her for long, as I was dealing with some Existential and Philosophical issues beyond her levels of expertise. She handled this perfectly however, recommending someone she believed was best for me. She was kind, honest, upfront, and couldn’t have been better.

I'm very happy with Keilyn, I feel understood and heard and she is there to help me get through some difficult situations. It's also very interesting to hear her take on things because sometimes I didn't see what she saw in the same story. Thank you!

Throughout my life, I have had somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 therapists. That doesn’t include the counsel I’ve sought from friends, family, clergy and professional mentors. Keilyn is the best, hands down.
From our very first session, I felt like Keilyn saw me the way nobody else has. Each session feels like a chat with a very wise friend. There’s definitely an understanding that she’s the provider and I’m the patient, but it never needs to be said. The conversations just flow.
Some days, I’m not sure what I want to discuss. Some days, I have a very specific problem. In either case, our conversations always leave me with at least one action to focus on between sessions.
Sometimes, I’ll share my journal entries with Keilyn. I can write a short novel, and she will invariably cut right to the heart of the problem and ask a question that really makes me think about the problem from another perspective.
Keilyn’s superpower is that she truly cares. She seems as invested in my growth as I am. She puts in at least as much work as I do. I look forward to every session and every text exchange.
I would absolutely recommend Keilyn to anyone seeking an empathetic, focused therapist.

Keilyn is a very respectful therapist. Keilyn takes time to get to know her client's and what their goals are. She is also encouraging and that makes her easy to talk to. I like the idea of using journal and work sheets as part of therapy. I found that very useful especially when I'm verbally exhausted. I think Keilyn has a very successful road ahead of her. Best regards!

I believe there are many things that keep people from therapy. Two of them are finding the right therapist, and choosing to be honest with them. Because even if we find the right therapist, we have to choose if we can trust them with our secrets. It’s hard enough for us to be honest and accepting with ourselves, but it’s even harder to be honest with another person that you don’t know. Keilyn makes me feel comfortable. I feel we can talk about anything. It’s not just talking. It’s also being able to send a message (even dumb ones) and say “ is this a normal aka typical feeling or response? “ and getting a response that’s not judged. Just an honest answer. It’s a wonderful feeling to know someone is there for you, and willing to be honest as well as receptive in a non harmful ways.

it is helpful to feel like you have a pen pal for concerns. especially in between live visits perhaps, you can write what is on your mind and see a response, and refer to it. it is a different type of therapy, and really well suited to the introverted or busy
