About me

Hi! My name is Kelly and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia with 7 years of experience working in mental health. I received my undergraduate degree in Childhood & Family Development from the University of Georgia and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in California. In graduate school, I worked with college students, Alzheimer’s patients & their families, and also offered spiritual counseling. After graduating and moving back to Georgia, I gained experience working in a variety of treatment settings, including mental health hospitals, residential and outpatient eating disorder treatment centers, outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, and private practice offices with clients spanning many ages and presenting problems.

I provide a warm, supportive and non-judgmental environment, allowing clients to feel safe and capable of creating and living a fulfilling life. Seeking therapy and being vulnerable can be extremely difficult and I believe in treating my clients with the utmost respect and compassion along the way. I work with individuals, couples, and families with presenting problems such as: life transitions/ phase-of-life problems, eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship or marital problems, family dynamics and clients identifying as highly sensitive. I draw from a variety of treatment modalities and operate from a client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs and personality in order to best help them achieve their goals. I will give you the push you need to learn you are worthy of feeling empowered and confident to take on life’s challenges and I’ll even throw in some humor along the way!

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, exploring, hiking, traveling, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with my family, friends and fur-children.

She always makes sure I’m heard, she is punctual. She takes the time to listen and responds in such a way where it doesn’t make me feel like my feelings aren’t valid.

Kelly has been a great therapist. We are 3 sessions in and I already feel comfortable enough as if I were speaking to a friend that’s known me for a bit. She feels very down to earth and listens without judgment. I was hesitant about doing online therapy, but Kelly has made it a great experience.

Kelly has already helped me so much in my thinking and the way I react to situations in the short time we have talked. I am very thankful for the help she is providing and the understanding and the challenges she has given me
