Hello! My name is Kelly and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio with over six years of experience providing therapy services. I received both my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Masters of Social Work degree from Youngstown State University.
I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient care. I specialize in treating individuals struggling with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, self-harm, substance abuse disorders, complex trauma, relationship issues and more.
I am a trauma informed therapist trained in EMDR therapy. I take a client centered approach to therapy, believing fully that clients are the experts of their own lives and determine the direction of therapy. I practice from a strengths-based and solution-focused framework, drawing from several different modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching true crime documentaries, snuggling with my cats (Leif Erikson & Snickers) and traveling to new places.
Additional areas of focus: Addictions, LGBT, Family conflicts, Intimacy-related issues, Parenting issues, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Depression, Abandonment, Adoption and Foster Care, Attachment Issues, Avoidant Personality, Blended Family Issues, Body Image, Caregiver Issues and Stress, Chronic Pain Illness and Disability, Co-morbidity, Codependency, Commitment Issues, Communication Problems, Control Issues, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), Dissociation, Divorce and Separation, Drug and Alcohol Addiction, Eating and Food-Related Issues, Emptiness, Family of Origin Issues, Family Problems, Fatherhood Issues, Fertility Issues, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, Impulsivity, Infidelity, Isolation / Loneliness, Jealousy, Life Purpose, Midlife Crisis, Military and Veterans Issues, Money and Financial Issues, Mood Disorders, Narcissism, Panic Disorder and Panic Attacks, Personality Disorders, Postpartum Depression, Post-traumatic Stress, Pregnancy and Childbirth, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Self-Harm, Self-Love, Sexual Assault and Abuse, Sexuality, Social Anxiety and Phobia, Trichotillomania, Women's Issues, Workplace Issues, Young Adult Issues

Kelly is super nice and understanding.
She doesn't make you feel as if you are a bother, she tries to fully understand where you are coming from in angles that others may not.
She also tries to come up with solutions in more ways than just 'Plan A"

Kelly is the best at putting people at ease and letting them set the tone for therapy. She gives you room to express yourself and share ideas and experiences, but holds you accountable when needed. Kelly centers sessions around your goals, values, and solution-based approach where you never feel condescended to or overlooked.
