About me

☺️ I hope you’re proud that you’ve decided to reach out for support during your time of challenge and/or growth. I’m Kelly, I’ve been working as a professional therapist for over five years now - it’s nice to “meet” you. I'm looking forward to working with clients that are located in North Carolina via telehealth! I've had experience in working in telehealth pre-COVID and am excited that the opportunities to connect with clients has been expanding.

In my work, I've been honored to compassionately walk with those that are wading through general periods of struggle, but I specialize in anxiety, depression, self-esteem valleys, relationship tension, substance use and processing childhood relational trauma. While I'll be contributing the guidance of new skill development, education around mental health factors and strategies, and an empathetic space to process the growing pains into our therapeutic space, I also trust that my clients have their own inner wisdom. With your willingness to explore these things with me, together we can collaborate to finding what best works for you in navigating this season.

For those of you that are interested, I tend to pull from a handful of therapeutic approaches, depending on the comfort level and need of my client: strengths based, person centered, cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT) and mindfulness practices. If religion or spirituality are part of your values system, I’m happy to pull from these practices as well. Of course, if these are not helpful for you, they will remain absent from our work together.

I’m here when you’re ready ☺️, I look forward to connecting with you.

Kelly is the best counselor. This is my second time with this website. If I had not gotten her as my counselor on the second round, then I would not have continued therapy.

Kelly is fantastic!!! She’s helped me find some perspective on issues that have prevented me from moving forward in my personal life and career and helped me understand my patterns of thought and work on changing them.

Kelly is so kind, patient, supportive, and understanding. She listens and doesn't judge, and helps as best as she can using expertise and resources, including worksheets, breathing exercises, insightful articles, and more. I highly recommend Kelly to anyone who is looking for support.

This is my second session with Kelly and I have found her to be delightfully insightful, calming, and caring. She really listens to what you're saying and perhaps more importantly what you're NOT saying. She really works with you to get to the root of the issue. I'm looking forward to continuing to work with her!
