Kenneth Mowery, LPC
About me
I’m a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years of experience. I began counseling as a pastor working with individuals, couples and families. I left the pastorate and now I am a fulltime psychotherapist and loving it. I practice psychotherapy from an integrative/holistic paradigm. My general approach is “person-centered”. This means that I don’t come with an agenda. You are the agenda. My goal is to know you, to hear the narrative of your life and come alongside you and resource you to help you respond in a healthy way to whatever you are facing in life.
I am a certified Brain Health Coach which means I am trained to look at mental health from the perspective of the latest neuroscience research as it relates to psychotherapy. I am trained in EMDR and practice from a trauma-informed paradigm. I will draw from the full spectrum of therapeutic approaches and interventions to help you better understand you and your world.

I really loved working with Ken. I was sad when he left BetterHelp because it was the first time a therapist has actually listened to what I said and not only focus on issues other therapists wanted to dig into, but was open to what I had to say.

Ken has been absolutely brilliant and I have really enjoyed his approach. I am hoping I will be able to work with Ken more in the future.

It has only been my second session with Ken, but already I feel comfortable enough to talk openly and without feeling judged. That trait comes so naturally with Ken and it's nice to be able to have someone to talk to.

Ken has been extremely helpful to me so far. This was only our second session but I feel that we have a good rapport, and I feel that I am beginning to trust him more in terms of opening up about my deeper issues. It seems that he is able to offer me practical guidance in guiding me through my challenging emotional states as well. He is able to make me laugh, and that is definitely the best medicine!
