Keshanda Garland, LPC
About me
Hello my name is Keshanda "Kesha" Garland I have had over 12 years experience working in the mental health field.
My counseling approach is eclectic in that I use what makes sense to my clients needs. Predominantly, I use client-centered, cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies in addition to elements of mindfulness. I am passionate about helping others feel good about themselves and effectively manage through life’s trials and
tribulations in order to lead a life of purpose, fulfillment and joy. I draw from both my own personal experiences and the numerous settings .I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I consider myself a 'general practitioner' able to treat client's with a variety of diagnosis and issues working with pre-adolescents, adolescents, and adults.
I would describe my style as warm and supportive, and I am ready to help you tackle your struggle head-on. Collaboration is important - together we can work on establishing concrete goals and steps for you to help overcome your current problems. I believe in taking time and working on wellness slowly, holistically, and consistently. Just as physical health takes time and consistency, so does mental health. I look forward to helping you in any way I can!
The uniqueness of my practice is the diversity and experience I bring to treatment both from a personal and professional perspective.
I look forward to working with you!
