About me

I am a licensed therapist in the state of Massachusetts with 20 years of experience. I have worked at various Dept. of Mental Health crisis teams providing crisis evaluations in ERs and homes and as an individual therapist. My work is primarily with adults striving to be their best selves while living with depression, anxiety, OCD, bi-polar, addiction and general transitions in life such as divorce, parenting teens, empty nest and becoming primary caretakers for spouses or parents. My approach is person-centered and I primarily use cognitive behavioral tools and techniques, while I do draw on other therapeutic approaches as well. I also support individuals in finding additional community resources they may not be aware of. In CBT, I see my goal as to teach you the skills so that you can use them independently and in time won't need me; I am merely the training wheels. I don't think therapy needs to go on indefinitely in most cases and can be relatively brief depending on your circumstances and goals. Some individuals like to continue to challenge themselves to grow and develop through the use of the therapeutic relationship. I see our lives and personal development as spiral more than linear; we can continue to go through a metamorphosis, ever changing, ever growing, ever becoming better versions of ourselves. However, maybe you just want to get through your daughter's wedding without a panic attack and that's okay too! I will welcome you, where ever you are at on your journey.

She’s a compassionate therapist who listens closely for the true story and is super thoughtful and supportive

I have had a number of counselors that I've seen in a traditional setting that I've seen for years at a time. Kimberly has made all the difference to me in a matter of weeks. She is very attentive, understanding, and supportive and despite working full time outside of betterhelp she comes into conversation with timely responses and recall which ensures you know and feel important and heard.

Kim is very easy to talk to and very responsive. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a counselor.
