About me

Welcome! My name is Kimberly Nixon or just Kim and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida with 20 years of experience helping people improve their lives.

Life stressors, past trauma, current relationships, combined with our current mental health status impacts us differently at different life stages. Sometimes we feel that we "got this" and other times we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and/or stuck. It is my hope for you to feel in control with a plan that is aligned with your goals and to support you develop insight and tools to experience progress and maintain that progress.

I treat many issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, loss of close relationship, employment changes, life transitions, serious illness, end of life issues, negative self-image, relationship problems, and trauma using a nurturing, strengths-based approach.

During treatment you can expect a safe space to discuss what is difficult. A space to celebrate success and a space to vent. Together we will uncover your strengths, reveal improved coping strategies and develop insights to maintain success beyond the therapeutic setting.

I believe everyone has the right and ability to feel better and live a more satisfying life.
I look forward to working with you!
