Thank you for considering me in your journey. I am a firm believer that you are the ultimate expert in your life and that my role as a therapist is to provide you support and guidance to elicit the change you are seeking. My name is Kimberly Pretty and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in the state of North Carolina. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, low self esteem, addiction, parent-child relationships, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief/loss, and stress management. Life experiences can sometimes cloud our view and we need someone who is objective, and can meet us where we are, and I do my best to offer that voice . I always bring authenticity and honesty to sessions, infused with a bit of humor when appropriate. I utilize CBT, cognitive processing therapy, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches in dealing with most issues.
My motto is simply this, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” Mother Teresa

An amazing therapist!
Talented, insightful, responsive, authentic - Kimberly is a wonderful counselor.
I worked with Kimberly for several months; she is genuine and friendly, making sure to check in with me even when I could not immediately schedule a next regular session. She helped me explore and understand myself so I could help myself more effectively, and for that I’m thankful!
Just two sessions in. Of anyone tries to analyze their therapy that early they don’t understand the process.
Kimberly has been great so far to work with. She is knowledgeable and professional and I have confidence in her
