Kimberly Pretty, LCMHC
About me
Thank you for considering me in your journey. I am a firm believer that you are the ultimate expert in your life and that my role as a therapist is to provide you support and guidance to elicit the change you are seeking. My name is Kimberly Pretty and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in the state of North Carolina. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, low self esteem, addiction, parent-child relationships, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief/loss, and stress management. Life experiences can sometimes cloud our view and we need someone who is objective, and can meet us where we are, and I do my best to offer that voice . I always bring authenticity and honesty to sessions, infused with a bit of humor when appropriate. I utilize CBT, cognitive processing therapy, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches in dealing with most issues.
My motto is simply this, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” Mother Teresa
