Hi. My Name is Kim Williams and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience working with adults, couples, teenagers and families. I am dual licensed in Virginia and Texas in addition to being National Board Certified. I have my MS in Counseling, BS in Human Development and my Associate in Logotherapy from the Viktor Frankl Institute. Issues that I have worked with include depression, anxiety, family conflict, parenting, relationship issues, school issues, bipolar, PTSD, divorce, LBGTQ and co-parenting. Treatment approaches I have used include CBT, Logotherapy, Reality therapy, Rogers' Humanistic and Mindfulness.
I approach my clients with empathy, warmth and understanding that reaching out to a counselor can be a difficult first step. I see my clients as the unique people they are and understand there is not one path to a healthier life. We will work together through the concerns that brought you here and towards a manageable plan to make changes. Together we can develop goals, strengthening the abilities you already have and move towards living the life you want. We can develop a better understanding of your choices, what control you have within them and the impact this has in your life. Your empowerment to make the changes you want is within you and I am here to support you on this journey. I look forward to speaking with you and starting this new experience.

She is a lifesaver, literally.
Kimberly has been such a huge help during this difficult period that I am going through right now. She has really provided me with amazing guidance to navigate through such tough times. I look forward to the many more sessions that we have together. This is my first time doing any type of therapy and she has made me feel very comfortable with sharing.
The best use of my money. Kim is an advocate and a partner in this journey of life. She understands my challenges, and works to frame obstacles with tools for success. She is responsive and engaged.
Kind, caring and patient.
Kimberly is a phenomenal counselor. She’s a great listener and checks in with me to make sure she understands what I’ve said. She makes a point to write down and remember the names of my friends and family members, and she references people by name week to week and checks in about things that I’ve mentioned in past sessions. She also watches videos and listens to podcast episodes that I send her, and she recommends great resources. I feel heard, seen, and like she’s invested in our relationship. Kimberly also has a great sense of humor, and our sessions easily and organically transition from laughter to talking about more serious topics and feelings. She’s great, and I’m looking forward to more sessions with her and growing our relationship.
Kimberly is an exceptional counselor. She is a dedicated listener and takes care to truly
understand the circumstances and stories shared by her client. She is also responsive and shares valuable resources. She even purchased books I told her I was reading! She’s the best counselor I’ve ever had!
Kimberly is very responsive and always to the point. Having her a counselor was a big luck to me. We sort out "urgent topics" in 2 weeks. She is very professional and experienced. I will come back to her.
Kimberly has been very helpful so far in all of the challenges that I'm currently facing. This form of counseling is very helpful with my hectic lifestyle and she's very responsive to my concerns as they change.
