About me

My name is Korey Fisher-Wellman. I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from Lenoir-Rhyne University, a Masters in Social Work from Appalachian State University, and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 15 years, working primarily it the public child welfare arena. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, client-centered, and motivational interviewing. I have experience working with individuals struggling anxiety, depression, mood instability, substance use, history of trauma, and grief and loss. In addition I am recognized as Adoption Competent Therapist by the Center for Adoption Support and Education.
