Counseling is a side by side journey of exploration and imagination. As a counselor licensed in both the state of Washington and Oregon, I am trained, experienced, and ready to accompany you on your journey. Many people seek counseling at a time when life is troubled. It can help to have support as you figure out your path, unearth your deepest dreams, and create the life you want to live.
I graduated with a BA in Psychology from Gonzaga University, and following that, explored teaching, group leadership, crisis stabilization, and domestic violence advocacy. Earning my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University was a life dream, and for the past eight years, I have worked as a mental health counselor. I have experience working with people who struggle with mood concerns, anxiety and stress, dealing with a traumatic event in their past, and life transitions. Working with health behaviors is my specialty, and I have extensive training and experience in helping people engage in changing their behaviors around sleep, persistent pain, substance concerns, exercise, and relaxation. My style is warm and will help you to see the strengths you bring into the counseling relationship, and will help you to build on them to thrive in your health, relationships, and career. I draw from Psychodynamic, Attachment, Rogerian, and behavioral theories to work holistically and to develop a truly individualized approach.
If you would like to make changes in your life but feel unsure where to start, I am happy to explore where you are now, the direction you want to go, and to help you to move in that direction.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Kris Fant. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Kris is very attentive, even when she can't be consistently responsive, she takes the time to really address each issue and her insight has been invaluable to me.
Kris has been helping me for over a year and a half now. Whether it's dealing with the day-to-day stresses of work or deep-seated issues from my childhood, she brings sensitivity, insight, and gentle humor. She's also made some great book recommendations, both for the issues we're talking about and for other interests of mine in terms of social issues. She's pretty awesome and I'm happy to be able to connect with her via this platform.
Kris has taken the time to research my condition, and shared her own insights on how diet can affect our mental health. This has pointed me in a good direction.
I have only worked with Kris for a short time, but she has been very friendly and approachable. She seems to be very intuitive and doesn't give up on me when I am trying to just ignore my issues. She is very encouraging.
Kris has been very encouraging. She listens to my concerns. She took the time to get to know me as a person, so that she could better help me. She is very genuine and definitely has care for others. She made me feel really comfortable opening up to her.
Kris is understanding and she is great!
Kris has been nothing short of amazing. She's not only extremely timely, but incredibly thorough. We have done a phone chat and she is a great listener. She offers alternative ways of thinking that I'm too blinded by everything going on to see. She really is great at what she does and I'm so thankful that I was matched with her!
Kris is really supportive and insightful. She helped me get to the heart of the matter. I felt so discouraged before I talked to her and within a few interactions, I was lifted out of the fog of depression and could see more clearly. Thank you!
Kris is super helpful. She has helped me quickly work through some big emotional stressors and is very good at asking leading questions that help me think through things. I feel very safe talking to her. My only complaint is that her tissue supply is not big enough ;)
Kris is responsive and brings different opinions into the conversation.
Kris is really nice and caring. Even when I was super busy, Kris regularly checked back on me and made sure that I was doing okay. She's also really knowledgeable and passionate in helping me
Kris is really awesome: she's provided me with a wealth of ideas and tools to help work through what I'm going through. From gratitude exercises to mindfulness "reset buttons" I can use, she has walked me through a lot of really specific and also personality applicable ideas for ways to get my brain on track and reduce my depressive behavior from taking over. If you're suffering with depression, anxiety, or really just hope for someone warm and understanding to message with you promptly (often within an hour or so at normal hours) I really think Kris can help you, as she has been helping me!
Kris has been amazing at helping me recognize that my anxiety doesn't have to stop me from living my life. She listens thoroughly and has a great way of shedding light on not so obvious issues to give it clearer perspective.
Kris has been very helpful and gets back to me very quick.
Kris is really great. She is very open and accepting. I have been able to share many things with her and have found her feedback to be very helpful.
