Kristalina Karamfilova
About me
As a personal growth consultant I offer a safe and supportive space for people to explore areas of life that feel challenging, overwhelming or destabilizing. The essence of my work is to help people clear the confusion around relationship dynamics and the effect of these dynamics on their quality of life. Like many therapists my personal story forms the backbone of my work. It has led me on a path of continuous learning about narcissism, how to recognize it, live with it and potentially heal from it.
It may surprise you if you never questioned the sanity and moral values of systems but narcissism is enabled by all of them. It is the toxic behaviors and patterns we have learned to acquiesce either in family systems and personal relationships, or wider social systems such as education and the work place. Healing from narcissistic abuse is about telling our stories with the goal of breaking down intergenerational cycles of devaluation and invalidation that have caused us psychological harm. It is a path of disengagement and learning what is acceptable behavior for you and that you can choose to interact differently.
My approach is integrative and tailored to the needs of each individual, drawing on traditional therapies such as person-centered therapy, CBT and psychodynamic principles. The newest tool in my box is a gentle, structured and body-based approach called Lifespan Integration that works with the body and mind as a living, self-regulating system. Through repetitions of a timeline of memories across different stages of life and repeated, guided reflection on these memory cues, the mind gradually recognises that past events are no longer happening in the present. Over time, this repetition helps the brain reorganise and integrate experiences more coherently. The process also includes attention to bodily sensations and regulation within the session, allowing the nervous system to settle and develop a stronger sense of safety and continuity. Lifespan Integration is a paced and collaborative therapy. As your therapist I stay closely attuned to how your system is responding and adjust the work accordingly. Nothing is forced, and the process unfolds at a speed that feels manageable.
In addition to my therapeutic work I offer the technique of past life regression used in hypnotherapy to access memories (real, symbolic, or subconscious narratives) framed as past lives, often for healing insight. For those of you who like to travel with your imagination and would like to explore further the hidden parts of your unconscious mind this technique can be helpful either as a reflective visualization experience or as part of your therapeutic process that may have reached a plateau in relation to your healing progress. According to many spiritual traditions inherited patterns or recurring struggles may not stem solely from childhood or present circumstances. The reason instead is suggested to be that these psychological imprints are carried forward from our previous lifetimes into our current identity, remaining often hidden from the lenses of psychotherapy and/or medical interventions.
