Dr. Kristin Good, Psychologist
About me
With over twenty years of professional experience, I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, who uses Strength and Evidence-based techniques to help people overcome symptoms of anxiety and /or depression. I meet you where you are using a positive Client-centered approach. This means we work on your priorities, in English or Spanish. We establish your goals, learn and practice new skills that you will be able to use throughout your life to meet future challenges, and successfully improve the quality of your life-to your standards. I see problems as opportunities to change and grow. What I enjoy most about my work, is using my training and experience to help people feel listened to, to help them understand their feelings, the feelings of others and to use that greater understanding to develop greater self-compassion and self-appreciation. I enjoy helping people reduce their pain and suffering and begin to feel empowered to go beyond merely surviving and begin to really thrive, realizing their potential to live a fuller, more satisfying and meaningful life.

Working with Dr. Good has truly changed my life. When I first began therapy with her a year and a half ago, I was struggling to cope with suicidal ideation, depression, and overwhelming anxiety brought on by my career as a high school teacher and the unhealed trauma of my childhood. From day one, she provided a safe space where I felt seen, heard, and validated—but she didn’t stop there. She challenged me to grow beyond my pain, holding me accountable to do the hard work of healing.
Thanks to her guidance (and steering me to do the boundaries psych ed series with CP), I now have a toolbox of coping strategies and emotional regulation skills that I use every day. I have strong boundaries, a deeper sense of self-worth, and the ability to take care of myself in ways I never thought possible. I’ve learned that while I can’t change my past or control others, I can change myself—and that has made all the difference, and it's given me a sense of self-respect for the first time in my adult life.
I don’t even recognize the person I was when I first began sessions with her compared to who I am today. If you are struggling and wondering if healing is possible, please know that it is—and working with her has been one of the greatest gifts of my life, and I will remember her guidance and support for many years to come.

Dr. Good has been with me through thick and thin. As a therapist I've found her to be not just a shoulder to cry on, but also a staunch advocate for my own dignity and welfare in all areas of my life. Dr. Good combines a wonderfully empathetic approach to identifying issues with a incisive eye for family dynamics, allowing her to work hand-in-hand with me to develop effective therapeutic measures that I use every day of my life. She's kind, she's funny, she cares. I give her a 10/10.

Both sharp and kind, she has a great balance between encouraging and challenging you. She's also great at tailoring examples and exercise to your specific experiences and interests. Highly recommend.
