I'm Kristin. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist- Master in the state of Vermont. I have worked as a therapist for 6 years, and as a clinician working with families for 15. I also teach at a local college.
I have worked with and have experience in a range of areas, including depression, anxiety, trauma, family challenges, and working with people on the autism spectrum. Every person comes into therapy with different needs and preferences-- we will work together to make therapy the best it can be for you.
My treatment style is mainly psychodynamic in nature, and I pull from some other areas as needed. Psychodynamic therapy has a focus on interpretation of thoughts and emotions, so that you can leave understanding yourself better. Once we uncover your patterns, we can work together to develop insight and make meaningful change. The most important thing is our therapeutic relationship-- when you feel like you can trust me and connect with me, you will be more willing to do the work that lies ahead.
