About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho, with over 14 years of experience working with adults. I have worked with a wide range of clinical concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career and academic concerns, eating concerns, parenting concerns, and self-esteem issues. I have also worked with many individuals who have experienced trauma and emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive and I believe all humans deserve understanding, compassion, and respect. I use an integrative approach to therapy and tailor interventions to what would be most helpful for you in the session. I use engaging and experiential therapeutic experiences that allow clients to practice in session skills. I am trained in Mindful Self-Compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Interpersonal Process Therapy. My approaches are trauma-informed. For the past 10 years, I have been researching, practicing, and implementing mindfulness-based strategies in my clinical and personal practices. Recently, I have become certified as a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher and lead groups, teach workshops and classes, and implement these practices into my work with clients. This work helps clients use self-kindness and self-understanding in difficult situations. What I have found is that when we are more gentle and kind with ourselves, we begin to feel better.

Seeking support takes courage and strength. I am here to support you in your wellness and healing journey. I look forward to working with you.
