About Me

Hi there!

My name is Kristin Taylor and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker practicing primarily in MA. I have 25 years of experience; the last 15 of which have been in private practice within a holistic wellness center. I have a BS in Education and a Masters in Social Work, which was received in 1994 from the University of New England.

I work with individuals and couples who have difficulty managing anxiety, high stress, depression, parenting , relationship issues, self esteem, conflict resolution, substance abuse, self awareness and childhood trauma.

The people I’ve been honored to work with have best been helped with an eclectic and holistic approach to healing. We begin wherever you are and implement supportive practices to help you find the needed balance, in order to make lasting changes.

I use mindfulness practices, solution focused techniques, strength based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy and somatic work (which helps to to connect with the body from the inside out). In addition, inner child work, breath work and yoga can be part of our work if interested!

I have only met with Kristin twice so far but she took enough time to ask important questions that would allow her to make helpful suggestions while we are still getting to know each other.

This was important to me because I was distressed and needed help. She helped me remember things that had helped in the past and suggested I try some of them again. I did try and found a few degrees of relief. And that was enough to make it tolerable.

Kristin offers very helpful and practical advice. When I used the tools and tips she provided, it felt like someone is out there to support me. She is also very warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. Talking to Kristin is like digging your toes into warm sand at the beach, on a bright Sunday afternoon sipping on your favorite drink - it's definitely a comfort zone you don't want to miss being in. Beyond this, Kristin helps you build the necessary skills to cope with the challenges in life, and follows up with you. She is reliable, flexible, and has very high emotional intelligence :) Thank you Kristin.

Kristin helped me during a very tough period of my life. Living on a pandemic, being away from home and trying to make life decisions was not easy. However the tools that she gave me and her counseling were very reassuring for me at that time. I would definitely recommend Kristin to anyone who is struggling with depression, anxiety and battling about making big decisions. Thanks Kristin for all you’ve done for me!

Kristin has been amazing to work with, she listens with an empathetic ear and gives practical, thoughtful, and philosophical advice (depending on what you need at that moment in time). She's helped me manage through loneliness, family issues, and health issues. Doing some healing inner child work and mindfulness practices that she introduced to me has been a major game changer in my approach to everyday life and its ups and downs.

I have been so pleased with my sessions with Kristin Taylor. She has been able to get to know me very quickly and offers great advice. Not only is she 100% attentive to me during our sessions, but she checks in throughout the week to check on me related to specific events happening in my life. If I write in my journal or send her a message, she always responds to me. I couldn't have asked for a better counselor for me. Thank you!
