We all have experienced times when life seems challenging. Whether it be a period of transition, ongoing struggles with mental wellness or a loss that can seem overwhelming. Or maybe you are struggling with the global pandemic crisis, that finds us in a world that has suddenly changed-without much time to prepare. Routines have been interrupted, financial stressors have been amplified, health/livelihood are being questioned, and isolation is the new norm. You don’t have to go through these times alone. And in these moments, you might benefit by chatting with a counselor. And that’s where I come into play.
I am an experienced therapist that assists others that are wanting to change old patterns in order to create growth and change. I specialize in working with adults in the following areas: LGBTQ+, anxiety, depression, chronic medical conditions (to include HIV), grief/loss and trauma. I use a combination of skills and interventions to foster resiliency and empower clients to reach their individualized goals. I believe in a holistic approach (mind and body connection) and utilize mindfulness interventions to help clients be present and grounded. I believe it’s important to understand how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all interconnected.
Therapy is an authentic and secure connection between the client and therapist. It consists of a space of safety, respect and acceptance between both entities. The therapeutic process can consist of only a few sessions to address immediate concerns (or to get a tune-up as I call it) or it can be extended to address longstanding patterns. The first (and sometimes hardest) step is to send me an email to initiate services. I look forward to working alongside you.

Kris has been awesome!
Kristin is a great listener. She always has ways to help me cope with my anxiety.
She listens and comes up with good advice and plans.
She has been an amazing counselor. Very good at listening to you and offering help and suggestions. Very knowledgeable and understanding. Doesn’t judge you and wants to help you succeed in every way possible.
Kristin is a really great counselor. She listens to your needs, she's open and honest with you as well. She understands your needs and makes you feel like you're important.
Kristin has been nothing but professional, kind, understanding, and patient. As a first time therapy patient, this has been a wonderful experience. I was apprehensive at first, but I have felt better since starting with Kristin.
It has only been 2 sessions, but at this time I feel she is doing/asking what is necessary to help understand the background of my concerns.
She is saving my life!!! <3
I feel like Kristin is a very caring person which is great for what I need since I need someone that I feel comfortable with to open up. I talk alot about how I'm feeling and I feel like she listens to everything and takes in every piece of information that I give her instead of just focusing on one part. Except when we are purposefully going into depth on the matter. Her approach to questioning in order to get to the root of the problem I feel are very direct and helpful for the problems I'm dealing with that helps me explore my thoughts about how I'm feeling and the deeper problems. She is great at responding to my journals and posts online addressing mostly everything I said in a reasonable time. I feel like she is dependable for helping me find solutions where I'm at the point where if I'm feeling a certain way I can talk to her about it to work out a solution that I'll happy with.
