Hello! Thank you for reading my profile page. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 15 years and have 5 years of clinical experience.
Seeking counseling is a big first step. I believe in working as a partnership with clients . You are the expert about yourself. I do not believe in a “cookie cutter” approach.
Some of the modalities that I use are client centered , CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) , ACT therapy (acceptance and commitment )and solution focused.
The most important aspect of therapy is being nonjudgmental and creating an environment where clients can feel open to discuss issues.
I have worked in various settings including outpatient counseling, substance abuse treatment, and healthcare.
My experience includes depression, anxiety, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, and relationship issues.
Additional areas of focus: Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Parenting issues, Self esteem, Coping with life changes, Domestic Violence, Drug and Alcohol Addiction, Family Problems, Guilt and Shame, Post-traumatic Stress, Sexual Assault and Abuse, Women's Issues
Clinical approaches: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
