About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 13 years of experience working as a mental health professional. I have had experience with working with people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds on a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, personality disorders, substance addiction, identity problems, self-esteem problems, intellectual disabilities and ADHD (to name a few). I also have helped many people who have experienced physical and emotional trauma. Moreover, I am a School Psychologist. Throughout my 13 years of experience, I have worked several different jobs in the mental health field.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and person centered techniques. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I will act as and genuinely will be a compassionate facilitator, will listen without judgment, and will acknowledge your experience without moving the conversation in another direction. I will be there to encourage and support you and to guide the therapeutic process without interrupting or interfering with the process of self-discovery.

I am looking forward to getting to know you. I want you to know that therapy is not a quick fix to things, it is a journey. You will have to be patient with yourself through the process. I will be patient, as well. I would like for you to know that I will not ever judge you and will always provide a listening ear to whatever thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing in your life. It takes courage to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I am here to do life with you. I look forward to working with you and it will be an honor to serve you!

Kristina is super in tune with my concerns and worries and never tries to tell me how I feel. She gives me ways to feel like I’m in control of my healing and not as helpless as I was before. She is incredibly relatable and it never feels cold and clinical talking with her. This was just a trial thing but this experience has been so amazing that I don’t mind paying the extra money.

Kristina listens well, and advises based on proven techniques which are simple...yet effective. She's great to talk to as well, and is very understanding and friendly & great to talk to.

Even though we’ve been working for a short time, Kristina keeps it very real and is an amazing listener and gives great perspective.

She has listened to me when I thought I had nowhere to turn. She can see past the pain I am feeling and encourages me to better myself.

I’ve only had two sessions with Kristina but am already feeling so much weight lifted off my shoulders. She is not judgmental, very gentle, kind, thoughtful and asks the right questions to help me find my own answers.

Her assignments, though small, have already made a very big impact in helping me address my negative self-talk and learn to shift my mindset to one that is healthy and respectful to myself. We’re also getting ready for some training to help me get over my next ongoing issue, and I can’t wait for my transformation.

I am just staring my sessions with Kristina but so far I feel very at ease. She provides a safe environment for me to open up and express myself.

I feel I have grown from having Kristina as my therapist in the short few months I've worked with her. It's nice to work with someone that you feel you can be honest with her and she won't judge you. I like feeling like my therapist is human too and she struggles with similar sh!t I do. It seems like when I have a dilemma going on, Kristina is thinking of something I could try to help me get through the challenge. It's been a huge comfort to me to know that I have her to guide me, nurture me, and encourage me to be the best version of myself.
