About me

Want to become more empowered, authentic, peaceful and in charge of your life?
I believe I can help. The wisdom of my own life’s journey, along with over 15 years of clinical experience helping people heal painful, destructive or simply unhelpful feelings and behaviors, ensures sensitivity to the unique calling for change within you.

I love the poet, Mary Oliver’s quote, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” It reminds me of the empowered perspective we can choose moment to moment.

I have a warm, interactive and often lighthearted style. Your sense of safety and comfort are most important and respected. I want to deeply understand your concerns so will likely ask questions, and, as importantly, encourage you to ask them of yourself. To "Live the questions", as the poet Rilke suggests, really opens you to your own wisdom.

In our work together I combine humanistic, cognitive, psychodynamic, energy psychology and other methods depending on your needs and comfort, while developing a rapport that allows real change.

I am experienced in guiding people through mood difficulties, trauma, grief, substance abuse, relationship conflicts and other life transitions with a deep respect for the stages of the journey.

Our sessions are focused on problem resolution through enhanced self-awareness and acceptance, along with skill building. This often involves discovering unhelpful beliefs and behavior patterns, understanding and resolving conflicting desires and accessing your inner knowing and creativity.

I'm glad you are ready to be supported and look forward to working with you!
