About Me

Hi! My name is Kristy Smith and I have been a practicing therapist for 6 years now. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, a local mental health agency, day treatment, and the hospital including the emergency room and inpatient psychiatric care. I have experience with ages 4 through the elderly. I enjoy working with others to help them achieve their goals while meeting them where they are. I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivation Interviewing. I work hard to meet my clients where they are and support them with a variety of challenges that can come up including daily stresses of life, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parent-child conflict, anger management and addiction. Kristy has been working with my son on his anxiety. And only after two treatments he doing much better! He opens up to her and is getting the help he needs.

Kristy has made me feel very comfortable from the beginning. We started off over messenger. When it was time for our first video call, I was very nervous and scared I wouldn't be able to open up but she instantly made me feel comfortable and I felt she genuinely cared which help for me to find confide in her and share my struggles
