I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, and I have been practicing Mental Health and Addiction Therapy for the past 15 years. I specialize in providing healing to those who struggle with Substance Use, Depression, Bipolar, and Anxiety (specifically OCD, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder both with and without Agoraphobia). I also have experience with grief and loss, physical trauma, emotional abuse, and relationship conflicts.
My counseling style embraces empathy, compassion, mindfulness, and empowerment. Patient Centered Therapy is one of my main therapeutic approaches, as it takes into account each person's own preferences, needs, and values before making any treatment decisions. My theoretical approach utilizes coping skills and techniques from both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Therapy. The Practice of Mindfulness plays a significant role in my counseling style and approach as well. Mindfulness is very effective in calming the mind and freeing it from anxiety. It is a safe, effective healing therapy that provides long lasting positive changes.
When we believe we are given more than we can handle, the next step is to begin the journey of healing. With healing comes self-confidence, well-being, freedom to control our thoughts and emotions, and to understand our purpose. It would be a privilege to enter into the journey of healing with you.
As you begin the healing walk on the way of your journey, the healing way appears - Kyra Dawn Delcambre, LCMHC

I can't say enough good things about Kyra. She has helped me so much. My life is so much better and has made such a good improvement. She gave me worksheets to work on and things to read. Those were very helpful and I will keep referring to them.
She met with me every week for a live session and I really appreciated her time for me. She genuinely cared for me and I really felt that. I am so thankful I used this service and was paired with Kyra :)

I was kind of cautious about doing online therapy, but Kyra is really great! I've only had a few sessions with her, and I feel as if I'm already starting to become a better version of myself. She's a very genuine person, great counselor, and I'd recommend her to anyone!

Kyra is a kind listener who always helped me work through my thoughts and find peace in my pain. When I started with BetterHelp, I really didn't have a direction. She helped me to create goals and to reach out to others in my life. By creating a safe place for me to open up about my feelings, Kyra prepared me to open up to my friends and family as well.

Kyra is a great listener, she has been willing to understand and feel what is going on. I have loved how she has been willing to have discussions with me about things I just find or want to talk about. It's very nice to have someone who allows me some leeway, input, and guidance in how I want to have my counseling go and what I want to talk about.

I have been doing the counselling sessions with Kyra for more than a few days now and I can honestly say, just from that short period of time, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. She’s thorough, to the point, and the kindest counselor I have ever encountered.

Working with Kyra has had a big impact on my life. When I initially reached out for help, I wasn't very hopeful/convinced therapy would work for me (due to past experiences). I think it was Kyra's adaptability to my way of thinking/understanding of things, the ability to address them directly and her patience that really worked for me. I've found her approach simple and varied too - we tried a number of different things. Throughout the process I constantly felt supported and wasn't afraid of being honest; I felt free to say what was working or what wasn't and Kyra was always able to address that. I think her interpretation or adaptation of the various approaches made our sessions a real success for me, because they were presented to me in a way that I could relate to. Also, we used a lot of interesting and really useful worksheets that weren't overly complex, but that explained the thinking patterns well.
Overall, I am extremely grateful to Kyra for her work with me, her patience and her understanding. Our sessions always left me in a better place. I think that her way of working will be effective even for those who struggle to believe in change/therapy, which is really amazing. Thanks so much Kyra!

Kyra was great at listening whole heartedly, and offering constructive advice. I am in action person, and she was very proactive about giving me things to work on and sort out on my own. I felt guided through each step, and ultimately empowered by my decisions. She's an excellent example of empathy and a great counselor.

Kyra has been a great help to me. This is the first time I'm in therapy and she is very supportive and understanding of that. She's a helping hand and the guiding light that help me slowly ease out of the depressed state I was in. Thanks Kyra.

Kyra is more than qualified for this job. She has a deep understanding of the human mind. She was able to identify the root causes of my anxiety, and helped me lessen my burdens by being an amazing listener and giving me tips and worksheets on how to cope with my struggles.
Kyra is the best therapist I've ever had and I was very blessed to have met her.

It's difficult to explain how much of a positive effect Kyra has had on my life. I can't say enough good things or thanks for all the ways she's helped me through situations that seemed impossible. I was at my lowest point when I reached out for help, and I can say that she was there for me when everything in my life was crashing down around me. She has been a major positive contributing force to my current well being and getting out of that downward spiral we can find ourselves in. I am incredibly grateful for her and the awesome work she does in helping not only me but anyone else who's struggling.

It has been nice to be able to work with Kyra from my computer or phone. I travel for work so the flexibility is second to none. I also love that she is able to send me worksheets, and even work with me throughout the week in between our sessions! Also, the style of counseling she does is great! helping me to grow and learn and never telling me what to do!

Some say that our flaws are often the paths into the best and most beautiful part of us and a therapist is the one to guide us there. Thank you for being such a great guide, Kyra!

Kyra, so far, has been a good listener, interjecting pertinent questions to keep the thought flow going, while not assuming answers prematurely or interjecting her own experience or bias incorrectly over a situation that may not really relate. She seems also to not judge whatever compulsivities or destructive behavior may be an issue, but rather seeks to understand the drivers and empathize with them.
