About me

Hello, thank you for taking the time to explore my profile.

I am a dedicated and qualified counselor and life coach with a rich background of over three decades in guiding individuals towards self-development and progress in their lives. My approach blends the best of counseling and coaching, fostering a safe and non-judgmental space for open conversations.

I am an integrative therapist, and use a blend of theoretical approaches when working with individuals who need support. This includes attachment and trauma in childhood.

Particularly, I possess extensive expertise in working with young people, specializing in supporting both youth and adults with unique needs such as Autism, ADHD, and various learning and physical disabilities.

My focus extends to parents navigating the challenges of raising children, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed with conditions like autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities. I offer emotional support, resource-sharing, and practical tools, empowering parents to embrace their authentic selves.

Clients have consistently found my sessions transformative during times of overwhelm or when they are not feeling aligned with their usual selves. I assist individuals in finding their footing, experiencing overall improvement, overcoming self-doubt, boosting self-confidence, and managing overthinking and anxiety.

I incorporate creativity and intuition into my work, coupled with psycho-educational insights about our emotional landscapes. Many seek my assistance when conventional therapeutic approaches have fallen short, or when they are committed to personal growth but seek guidance. My dedication to supporting children with special needs and their parents significantly influenced my journey to become a therapist.

Wow! I've had a couple of other experiences doing therapy but nothing has compared to Lara. She has already been exactly what I needed from therapy. How lucky was I to be matched with her on my first matching! I didn't think therapy could be this flexible in terms of goals. Each session is exactly what I need in that week and I feel that every session also works towards a longer term broader goal. Not patronising, offers realistic actionable tasks and projects, offering constructive help and a listening ear. Highly recommend!

Very good at listening, and providing good suggestions for any kind of person- whether neurodivergent, or neurotypical!

Lara is extremely attentive to any issue I bring up in a session, helps me to connect them together and supports me to understand what solutions could work best for me. She also offers some very creative solutions which suit me to a tee, which makes me feel she really does understand where I'm coming from! I'm so grateful to Lara for helping me to understand myself better and validating my goals, empowering me to work towards them authentically.

Lara has been great to work with, she’s insightful and always supportive. She also offers great information related to the topics we discuss to learn more on my own. Messages are responded to quickly and I appreciate that.
