Working with LaShawn has been great! After only two sessions I was able to take on a new perspective that has renewed my confidence. She sat with me in my sadness and anger. Having someone validate and acknowledge what I was experiencing as hurtful helped me to change course. Sometimes that’s all you need to move forward!

I am coming up on a year with LaShawn, and I appreciate her so much. She rolls with however I'm feeling. Sometimes we stick to the work we are trying to complete and some days are "park bench" days, where I need the session to discuss what's bothering me in the moment. I wish I had started therapy sooner to be honest, but then I probably wouldn't have met LaShawn. :)

LaShawn Myers is exactly the therapist I needed. She is kind, respectful, open hearted, and communicates gently yet powerfully. She doesnt give canned responses, doesn’t hide per personality (which makes it easier to open up to her) and she shows up completely to our sessions. I feel fully heard and understood. I'm so grateful to have been matched with her. She is exactly who I needed!

LaShawn is an incredible therapist. While my initial reach out was due to multiple grief experiences, I hope to continue working with LaShawn to seek support in areas of life beyond grief. She is patient, kind, and prompt, and she captures significant highlights from my sessions. She is great at consistently checking in outside of sessions, and when we have sessions she is present. So thankful for her!

It took me years to even try therapy due to the fear that the therapist would make me feel uncomfortable or that I would not be able to share things. I am very grateful that the first person I was matched with was her. She is just herself, which makes it ok to be yourself. I don't feel uncomfortable at all. I am enjoying my sessions, they make me think and talk more, and I am looking forward to more with her!

LaShawn was able to help me through a difficult time this year when I was experiencing a difficult transition through my break-up. She helped me recognize unhealthy boundaries, and her words echo in my head as I build my own strength and independence as an individual. I am grateful for her professionalism in dealing with my occasional stubbornness. I am looking forward to working with her again in the future when I may need outside perspective through other personal issues that may arise as I continue through my journey.

She has been so thoughtful and helped me. She doesn't make it feel transactional at all and makes it feel like an equal partnership rather than just a 'therapist' and 'patient' relationship. She constantly makes me feel comfortable and safe and heard.

I am completely enjoying my first sessions with LaShawn. I can tell she is a great listener bc she took notes of what stood out to her most during my talking and was able to repeat them to me wt the end of our session. It made me feel like i was heard, and got me excited for my following sessions with her.

I haven't done therapy too often and my past experiences have been less than impactful. So much so that I just thought that it wasn't for me, and I could just press on without really addressing my mental health. LaShawn has changed my perspective on that greatly just in the few sessions we've had. Ignoring mental health can be detrimental, but an impactful therapist can be all the difference in finding meaning solutions to mental ailments.
